Who I am
My name is Toby Magyar, and I’m a 17-year-old high school senior from Ridgefield, Washington. I’m passionate about using my skills to support meaningful causes and communities. Currently, I’m working on a school project where I’m raising funds for a birthing clinic in Bali called Bumi Sehat, which provides essential maternal care to underserved women. I had the privilege of visiting the clinic, and this experience inspired me to dedicate my efforts to help their mission. Baking has always been a huge part of my life—I love experimenting with new recipes and sharing my creations with others. My challah bread, brownies, and cookies are always a hit with my family and friends, and now I’m excited to put my love for baking to use for this important cause.
Who Bumi Sehat Is
Nestled in Bali, Indonesia, Bumi Sehat Clinic stands as a beacon of compassionate healthcare and holistic wellness for new and old mothers. Founded by the visionary midwife Robin Lim, who I had the genuine pleasure to meet while visiting Bali. Bumi Sehat is more than just a clinic; it is a sanctuary where modern medicine meets traditional wisdom, offering free care to all who enter its doors no matter the situation. With a focus on respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity, Bumi Sehat embodies the spirit of "gotong royong", working together for the common good. Ensuring that every patient receives the care they deserve, regardless of their background or financial status.
